This page has been created in Memory of a truly wonderful Man, Derek David Hitchcock. Derek very sadly passed away on Tuesday 21st April,  peacefully in his sleep, at home in bed, surrounded by his family. He will be missed tremendously. 

In ordinary times we would have a large gathering at his funeral and give Derek the true send-off he deserves, but due to current circumstances we want to do everything we can do keep his family and friends involved. We hope this page can offer some comfort at this time, and we would love for you to post your memories, experiences and dedications here! 

A true celebration in Derek's Memory will be held once restrictions have been lifted, and family and friends will be contacted.

Derek received much support from the British Lung Foundation and Southampton Respiratory Centre in his later years, through having COPD. His partner, Eileen, is still receiving care for the same condition. This fundraising page for the BLF has been created in Memory of Derek and his incredible life, in a hope to assist other patients and families through their care. Any donations will be gratefully received. Here's to you Derek, we all miss you and love you dearly.
